As a foodborne pathogen of escalating global concern, particularly in developing countries, Salmonella enterica is commonly found in animal-derived foods like dairy. The prevalence of Salmonella in Ethiopian dairy products is shown through highly inconsistent data, frequently restricted to specific regions or districts. Concerning Salmonella contamination risks in Ethiopian cow's milk and cottage cheese, no data exists on relevant risk factors. In order to understand the prevalence of Salmonella and pinpoint associated risk factors within the Ethiopian dairy value chain, this research project was designed. During the dry season, a research study was conducted across Oromia, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples, and Amhara in Ethiopia. A total of 912 samples were obtained from the milk production chain, encompassing producers, collectors, processors, and retailers. Comparative analyses of Salmonella contamination prevalence across different regions yielded no statistically significant results (p > 0.05). Cottage cheese consumption patterns displayed regional variations, with Oromia exhibiting the highest prevalence at 63%. The risks identified included the temperature of water for udder washing of cows, the practice of mixing milk lots, the type of milk container, the use of refrigeration, and filtration of the milk. The identified factors can be used to develop intervention strategies, focused on reducing the level of Salmonella contamination in Ethiopian milk and cottage cheese.

We present a new approach for translating US-based AI impact metrics to nations with varying economic stages. By assessing semantic similarities, our method compares descriptions of work activities in the US with the skill sets of workers from other countries as expressed through survey data. The U.S. measure of work activity suitability for machine learning, from Brynjolfsson et al. We investigated endogenous communication pathways across the brain and periphery, utilizing Cre-mediated DNA recombination to permanently record the time-dependent functional uptake of bdEV cargo from exosomes. To understand how functional cargo moves within the brain under normal conditions, we enabled the consistent secretion of physiological levels of neural extracellular vesicles containing Cre mRNA from a specific area of the brain. This was achieved by in situ lentiviral delivery of Cre mRNA to the striatum of Flox-tdTomato Ai9 mice, allowing for the reporting of Cre activity.
